Turnaround Time / Deadlines

Once you finalize your order, meaning you have given us (1) the final style count, sizes, and colors of your clothing and accessories, (2) confirmed and approved the artwork for your order, and (3) paid for your order in full, there is a minimum 2 to 3 week period of production/processing time before you will have your order in-hand. For extremely large custom orders, that turnaround time may be extended.

If your order is for a scheduled performance, please plan ahead, keeping in mind the minimum 2 to 3 week period of production/processing time we require to complete you order before it can be shipped! Please Contact Us for exceptions to this turnaround time. Additional fees may be applied for "Rush" orders.




IMPORTANT --- LATE ADD-ONS: If you ADD anything to an order that is already Finalized, the new addition(s) will be considered the start of a New Order. Adding to an already finalized order could extend the 2 to 3 week turnaround time. Please Contact Us for possible exceptions.

Discounts / Things to Consider

DISCOUNTS & MINIMUMS: When ordering from Step in Time there is a 12 Piece Minimum for Screen-Printed items and a 6 Piece Minimum for Crystal-Designed items. You will receive a 20% Discount when ordering 24 or More Pieces of any single item (of the Same Style Number). There are no direct discounts on design applications (Screen Printing, Embroidery, or Crystals), only on garments and accessory items. When ordering Recital T-Shirts, there is a 24 Piece Minimum. Please Contact Us for any possible exceptions to the minimum guidelines.

Design Applications & Choices

Our products can be purchased with or without designs. For example, you may want to get a design on a jacket, but not on the coordinating pants. Or, you may want designs on both, the jacket and the pants. It's your choice!

All pricing includes a screen printed (one color) design of your choice. Call for special pricing if you need more than one color, or designs in more than one area on a garment (e.g., Back and Front Left Chest).

For an additional charge (Call for Pricing) you can have embroidery, crystals, or both. We carry a wide variety of thread colors and a beautiful array of Korean and Swarovksi crystals.


SCREEN PRINTING
  • Includes one free hour of art design, $20 for each hour, thereafter.
  • There is a 12 piece minimum (of the Same Style Number with the same screen printed design and color scheme on all items).
  • Anything under 12 pieces will be charged a $50.00 set-up fee.
  • One color designs are included in the prices shown in our catalogs.
  • Designs with more than one color will incur a screen charge of $15.00 per each additional color. It will also add $1.00 per ink color, per garment.

EMBROIDERY
  • Embroidery is available in many colors and is a very durable option!
  • Includes one free hour of art design, $20 for each hour, thereafter.
  • Custom Embroidery Designs will be charged a one-time digitizing fee to create the master software file that communicates with the embroidery machine. The fee ranges from $40.00 to $150.00, depending on the complexity and the final thread count in the design.
  • Full-Back Embroidery Designs range from $10.00 to $40.00 per piece, depending on stitch count and number of thread colors.
  • Left-Chest Embroidered Designs range from $6.00 to $20.00 per piece, depending on stitch count and number of thread colors.
  • Left-Chest Embroidered Names (1 line of text) is $6.00 per piece.
  • Left-Chest Embroidered Names (2 lines of text) is $8.00 per piece.
  • Our standard layout is that Female names are embroidered in a script font, while Male names are embroidered in a block font. If you require something different than that, please be sure to let us know ahead of time!

CRYSTALS
  • We carry a wide variety of colors in Korean and Swarovski Crystals.
  • There is a 6 piece minimum (of the Same Style Number with the same crystal design and color scheme on all items).
  • Stock Crystal Designs with minimal customization include one free hour of art.
  • New (Non-Stock) Custom Crystal Designs will be charged an art fee of $25.00 an hour.
  • Full-Back Crystal Designs range from $15.00 to $70.00 per piece, depending on whether they are Korean or Swarovski crystals, number of colors, and final crystal count.
  • Left-Chest Crystal Designs range from $10.00 to $25.00 per piece, depending on whether they are Korean or Swarovski crystals, number of colors, and final crystal count.
  • Left-Chest Crystal Names (single line) range from $8.00 to $12 per piece, depending on whether they are Korean or Swarovski crystals.
  • Crystal Scatter ranges from $8.00 to $15.00 per piece, depending on whether they are Korean or Swarovski crystals, number of colors, and final crystal count.



Choose A Design: Browse through our Designs Page to see the wide array of designs available. We can customize most of the designs to suit your dance school, recital theme, or event colors.

Provide Your Own Design: If you don't find a design in our catalogs or flyers design pages that suits your needs, you have the option to use your own original artwork design. Please provide us with the highest quality master file of your original artwork.

Have Us Create A Design: When you purchase from Step In Time, we provide the first hour of artwork design for screen printing, embroidery, and stock crystal designs absolutely FREE! If your artwork requires more time to produce, there will be a $20 per hour artwork design charge added to your order.




Proofing Your Design: You will, of course, have the opportunity to proof your final design before production begins. We will e-mail you a computer generated virtual sample of the design, showing it on the garment or item whenever possible. Otherwise, we will e-mail you a computer generated virtual sample of the design against a solid color background, representing the color of the item the design is going to be applied on. Production cannot begin until you confirm that the artwork is correct.




Important Note About Color Accuracy & Matching: Colors, in and of themselves, can be a tricky thing. There are differences in how color is perceived between computer screen colors (produced with light) vs. ink colors (produced with pigments) vs. material (fabric) colors (produced with dyes) vs. crystal colors (refracted by light through glass). If you start with the "same" color for each of those scenarios, the color will appear different in each of them.

We do our best at trying to match (or, coordinate) colors in your artwork and ensembles, as is humanly possible. Please keep in mind that if you're trying to get an absolutely identical match of color between something screen printed on a material and matching that screened ink color to a fabric accent in that garment, it will not happen. It could be very close, but never exactly the same shading and appearance between the two colors, due to the differences in how color is perceived by the human eye, depending on the material (source) the color is coming from.

Packages will usually be shipped FedEx Ground, unless another method of shipping is deemed necessary.

Federal Express and UPS will not deliver to PO Boxes. Please provide us with a street address.

Canadian Shipments & International Orders: All applicable duty, taxes, and/or brokerage fees will be charged to you at the time of delivery. Duties and taxes are mandated by your country, not by our company.

Return / Exchange Policy

We will exchange or credit your account for any items you are not completely satisfied with. The item must be returned to Step In Time within 14 days of the delivery date in unworn and perfect condition.

Please note that the following customized items are not returnable or exchangeable: all final sale items, custom-personalized embroidered goods, or other custom-personalized items.

Shipping and handling on returned merchandise is non-refundable. Shipping cost of exchanged goods is the responsibility of the customer.

Re-Ordering

There is a 12 Piece Minimum (Screen Prints) and 6 Piece Minimum (Crystals) when re-ordering any single item (of the Same Style Number with the same screen printed or crystaled design and color scheme on all items). We can accommodate lesser quantities for a $50 production set-up fee.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: When it comes to re-orders, Step In Time does everything we can to ensure accuracy and consistency with matching design colors and placement to their originally run garments and accessories. When re-ordering anything with screen printed designs, there is the potential for slight color differences from the original design, due to variations in ink-lot mixes, production runs, and clients requesting a different material being screened in a re-order versus the original material of the previously pressed item. The same colors can appear different on different materials. There can also be slight differences in sizing and placement of designs in a re-order. Garment or accessory placement on the screen printing or heat pressing table can vary slightly during different runs. There is also the possibility of certain ink colors being discontinued by our suppliers without our knowledge.

Although we have a very good track record with very few color and/or design placement mis-matches involving re-orders since we started this business in 1992, Step In Time makes no inherit guarantees that the design application you choose for your garments and/or accessories during your initial purchase will still be available in the absolute exact form, color, or material in the future.
